1. It’s a great world of discovery - reading other people’s blogs and gaining ideas from them

2. A world of challenges - the challenge is to find something to write about.

3. It is good fun once you get accustomed to it.

4. A great sense of achievement.

5. A sense of satisfaction when people from all over the world visit or read your blog.

6. Makes me think about what is happening around me - my home life, school life and community life.

7. Improving my computer skills - keeps me intouch with some of the things that my children are doing on the computer. I am able to communicate with them through “blogging”.

8. Good for professional development.

9. Because lots of others are doing it!

10. Becomes a personal record for you.

My daughter was given a pet cockatiel as a present earlier this year. We were given an old petrol drum that was made into a cage for our newest pet. The cage however was fast becoming past its use by date and so we needed to update. Fortunately I have a sister who with her husband breeds birds and they were replacing several of their cages so we bought one of them and situated in a new spot for Locky. Removing Locky from his original “home” was a bit of an ordeal and I was more stressed than the bird, but he survived and now is very safe and secure in his new home.

C Grade were capably lead by year 11 student, Chloe with the team winning all three matches. With all three teams doing well, Hawkesdale P12 College went on to win the shield for netball - the first time that I can remember the school recording such a win. Congratulations to all team members for their efforts.
